Every board has a director whose judgment carries uncommon weight—the person fellow directors call before a difficult vote, not after. That individual is rarely the chief executive. Until now, Latino Professionals has had no way to recognize this distinct level of board leadership.

Beginning in November 2027, Latino Professionals will introduce BoardroomX Fellows, the highest editorial distinction within BoardroomX. Each year, five to seven directors will be selected for their exceptional contributions to corporate governance and their influence across American business.

BoardroomX Fellows are chosen primarily from the annual BoardroomX class, together with outstanding leaders from the broader governance community. Selections are made solely through the editorial judgment of Latino Professionals. The evaluation considers board leadership, service across multiple public, private, and nonprofit boards, strategic influence, and the same enduring standards that guide every Latino Professionals recognition: leadership, economic impact, influence, philanthropy, and vision. The editorial panel's rationale is published alongside each class.

BoardroomX Fellows cannot be applied for, purchased, or secured through nomination. It is an editorial honor earned through a sustained record of leadership, governance, and service.

The inaugural BoardroomX Fellows class will be announced during Governance Week in November 2027 alongside the annual BoardroomX class and the Latino Professionals Hall of Fame.
