Effective date: August 5, 2026

Latino Professionals Media Group ("Latino Professionals," "we," "us," or "our") publishes Latino Professionals Magazine and operates latinoprofessionalsmagazine.com (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Please read our Terms of Use and Cookie Policy as well — together, these three documents govern your use of the Website.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly. We collect information you choose to give us, including:

  • Your name and email address when you subscribe to the newsletter or create a membership account
  • Your name, email, and any details you include when you submit a story idea, nomination, correction, event listing, career application, or an inquiry through the Contact page
  • Billing name and contact details if you purchase a paid membership (payment card numbers themselves are collected and processed by our payment processor, not by us — see Section 3)

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, our hosting and analytics systems automatically log standard technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. See our Cookie Policy for the specific cookies and similar technologies involved.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Website, the newsletter, and membership access you have requested
  • Respond to story pitches, nominations, corrections, event submissions, career applications, and general inquiries
  • Send you the newsletter and, if you are a member, service communications about your account
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the Website
  • Measure the reach of our own advertising and sponsorship placements (see Section 3)
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use

We do not use your information to influence editorial judgment. Editorial subjects and Series honorees are selected by our editors against published criteria, independent of any commercial relationship. See our Editorial Standards.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share information only with the service providers who help us operate the Website, and only for that purpose:

  • Ghost(Pro), our publishing platform and hosting provider, which stores newsletter subscriber and membership account data
  • Zoho Mail, which we use to send and receive email at our @latinoprofessionalsmagazine.com addresses
  • A payment processor (such as Stripe), if and when you purchase a paid membership. Your payment card details are provided directly to the processor and are subject to its own privacy policy; we never receive or store full card numbers

The advertising displayed on the Website is served directly by us — we do not currently use third-party ad networks or ad-tech vendors, so your browsing activity is not shared with outside advertisers through the Website's ad placements. If this changes, we will update this Policy and our Cookie Policy first.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Latino Professionals or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data retention

We retain newsletter and membership account information for as long as your account or subscription is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and security obligations. We retain submissions (story pitches, corrections, event listings, career applications) for as long as reasonably necessary to evaluate and respond to them.

5. Your privacy rights

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any newsletter email. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by writing to privacy@latinoprofessionalsmagazine.com.

California residents. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no sale to opt out of. California residents may still request access to or deletion of their personal information using the contact above, subject to the exceptions permitted under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Users outside the United States. The Website is operated from and hosted in the United States. If you access the Website from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

6. Children's privacy

The Website is intended for a professional business audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Website links to third-party websites, including partner organizations, event ticketing pages, and sources cited in our reporting. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites. Review their policies before providing them with information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Website after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
